I think the quickest and most convenient way is to go by ferry. There are hourly shuttles departing from Sekupang port in Batam and arriving in HarbourFront, Singapore. The tickest is around S$16 and the ride takes around 50 minutes. Ferries leave from Batam Center also but I don't know exactly how much a ticket costs and the ride takes more than an hour. The first ferry from Sekupang leaves at 7am. If you want to buy ferry tickets in Nagoya go to Dumai Express in Komplek Lucky Plaza, they sell them.
