What parks to visit in Jakarta?(give a different answer) .
If you want to see the largest lizard in the world that is the Komodo dragon visit Ragunan Zoo, situated in Pasar Minggu, a southern district in Jakarta. The best way to get there is by bus, leaving from Jl Thamrin. The zoo houses more than 260 species of animals and birds (some are Indonesian endangered species) and a new addition is the Schmutzer Primates Centre where you can see gibbons, gorillas, chimpanzees, orangutans. To enter the primates center you have to pay an additional fee (less 1$) and follow stricter rules than in the rest of the zoo. It's best to avoid weekends as it gets rather crowded. The zoo is open from 8am to 6pm.
