charb's question:
How can I travel faster around Jakarta? I mean faster than with buses, anyway. thanks(give a different answer) .
Jakarta's taxis are numerous and, if you know your way around the city, inexpensive. Taxi rates are usually around Rp 3000 for the first kilometre, with a standard 150 Rp for each 100 m. Make sure the metre is used. Take the bluebird cabs(pale blue), they have the best reputation and don’t risk traveling with less known firms. Drivers generally expect a tip from foreigners and don't always hand back all your change.
