Ramayana ballet at Prambanan, Yogyakarta

Ramayana ballet is a two-hour dance performance staged after the Hindu Ramayana epic. The backdrop is the magnificent Prambanan temple and the artists dance under the magical moonlight accompanied by traditional gamelan music. The performances take place from 7.30 to 9.30pm four nights in a row twice a month from May to October.
